Last year, Brisson connected with Meetali Jain, executive director of the Tech Justice Law Project. That partnership led to Jain filing a slate of lawsuits against OpenAI on behalf of sufferers of AI psychosis. One of them is Brooks.

Why does a lawyer need to partner with a “support group”? I don’t recall ever seeing such an arrangement before.

What are the terms of this partnership? Has any paperwork been signed to formalize this partnership? Will Brisson or HLP be financially compensated in the event of lawsuit win or settlement?

I haven’t met many lawyers that eagerly give away free work. Who exactly is paying Jain to litigate these cases?
