National Academy of Medicine Responds to “AI Psychosis”

The National Academy of Medicine addressed the “AI Psychosis” phenomenon this month. They noted that it is born from media and lawsuits, not science or psychiatrists.

Q: Do you have a sense of how prevalent AI-exacerbated psychosis is now?

A: Technically, it’s hard to say…Right now, all we really have is what’s been reported in the media and what we hear about from lawsuits and those sorts of things. Although hundreds of millions of people are using AI, reported cases of AI psychosis are in the double digits. So, the prevalence is small as far as we know. We’re likely to get much higher and more accurate numbers hopefully soon within the coming months or years.

Throughout this website, I argue that the “AI psychosis” panic is manufactured for profit primarily by the group of people coordinating and generating the media coverage and the non-death lawsuits. The Human Line Project serves as part of that group and many of the victims are unwittingly being farmed and commercialized.
